This is the first serious polymer doll I finished...and the first I sold, in 1993. It's called "Doin' the Flower Dance". The doll, not counting the wings, is 3 inches. Back then, there were no digital cameras, so it's not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. :)

She is such a jolly soul...I hope she's happy in her (not so new) home.

My first and only completed doll. The person she lives with has asked me to make her another, though so soon I will have made TWO!

You know I love her! :)

A tribute to a wonderful lady - 12 inch tall, internal wire armature portrait doll.

Bead Head dolls - The White Maiden and, in the background, Granny.

Wonderful dolls, Robyn!

Thank you! I have just started making art dolls with pc heads. I call them bead heads because they are a giant bead with a hole running across the head as if through the ears for the wire.

I'm excited because today I aquired some glass hand made eye balls that I plan to use on my next two bead head dolls.

I love the be-spectacled lady. She is fantastic! What did you use for her face? I've just started to play with dry coloured pencil crayons (dry as opposed to water soluble) and I'm loving it.

Sorry to take so long to reply. I used pencil and colored pencil for the line work, over acrylic on muslin. Then the color is Aquarelle Caran D'Ache watercolor crayons. I use those for all my doll faces.

This is a doll that I've just finished for a swap. Yikes!! I was having so much fun I got a bit carried away. Just hope the recipient loves it. :o)

Pattern pieces are a selection from Patti Medaris Culea books.

She is very lovely. Is that the pencil face treatment?

I like her jointed elbows.
