Hi everyone! Since I'm sponsoring the challenge this month it seemed like I should at least come and introduce myself! My etsy shop has been open for 2 months. Im am selling hand dyed and painted fabrics. It is quite the learning curve to learn how to be found and seen on etsy but I am really enjoying this new venture! My shop is vickiwelsh.etsy.com

I have had an Etsy shop for quite awhile. I was doing well but due to ill health I had not updated it for awhile. I seem to be back in the groove and will add more things soon.

I just took a look at your Etsy store, PennyHeaven. Beautiful work! But, I do think you need to work on your photos. Some of them are dark or muddy and the cropping could be better. Having good photos is key to selling online, especially when you are selling higher ticket items. If people can't see or touch our online items, you have to make the photos speak to the experience as closely as possible. I would also recommend having more items so that buyers can have a range of choices. If you don't like doing the technical side of managing your store (most of us find it a chore), maybe you can trade with someone who has those skills and is willing to do it for you. Keep at it and it will happen!

Don't worry about it taking a long time for that first sale. Have you gone in to the Etsy forums? People write about their sales or no sales and get lots of encouragement and information to make your store have profits. Hang in there!

I have had an Etsy shop since the beginning of this year, I have yet to have a sale. I would have more things on my Etsy page but I am too lazy to do the uploads!

Shibori Ribbons, flowers, pocket squares, kits and more on occasion. Promoting your etsy shop outside of etsy is key to creating sales.
