I am going to the 2009 International Quilt Festival in Chicago today! It runs from
April 17th through Sunday, April 19th and offers great classes by great Fiber artists like Jane Davilla, Judy Coates Perez, Maggie Weiss and MANY others!

The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair
23rd-26th October 2008
The Manchester Grammar School

A major new annual selling event in Manchester, celebrating the very best in contemporary craft. An excellent opportunity to see and buy or commission the latest works in ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, metal, wood, furniture, paper basketry and more from the most talented designer-makers in the UK. All work is selected by an eminent panel of craft experts and curators. A unique shopping experience to treat yourself of buy beautiful one-off presents for Christmas. Free parking and licensed café on site.

Tickets £5 can be purchased in advance or on the door. For ticket orders contact info@greatnorthernevents.co.uk. Tickets for preview evening are £10.

Thursday 23rd October: preview evening by invitation or £10 entrance ticket
Friday 24th October: 12noon-9pm
Saturday 25th October: 10am-6pm
