Hi There,
I'm new here and thought I'd jump in and see what everyone is working on. I've done fiber (paper) vessels in the past but have always wanted to try fabric instead and this week I dove in. I didn't have any fabric stiffener so I boiled up some flour and water ala papier mache and just dipped the sewn pieces in, wrung it all out and shaped it over a bowl. Step one. I'm envisioning lots more stitching and added papers and fibers. Things I could have and should have done before the flour and water stiffening step but I wanted to be sure that would work before putting too much more work into it.
So what is angelina fiber and lutrador?

Welcome Yolanda,
Angelina is a synthetic fiber that will adhere to itself when ironed - so, when ironed over a shape, it will keep that shape, and therefore turn into a vessel.

Visited your blog and saw your angelina vessel. Very cool! I am also really liked your triangle box.
I'm still plugging along on my own experiment and will post a pic when it's "done".
