Just thought I'd share a bit of what I've been up to lately! Time seems to fly so fast ...
This looks as if it is a piece done in pastels! I have a felting attachment with my Bernina but haven't tried it as yet! This is so inspiring. Just beautiful.

Those are cheater french knots! You take a little bit of wool or silk roving and roll it into a tiny ball in your hand. Then you felt it down into place. I am not the best hand-stitcher, but practicing all the time! Sometimes I do a few hand Frenc...
This is lovely. I like the colourr you have used and the way the light looks diffused. Are these French knots at the bottom? Embellishing is a bit addictive don't you find?
I love this! This is the kind of felting I'm trying to do on my new Babylock embellisher. I want to do landscape scenes with various fibers - wool roving, angelina, etc.

- Hi, Darlene! Thank you for your kind comments about my thread painted piece. I have done this for years on landscape quilts but this was my first attempt on silk. It's certainly a medium I want to continue to pursue. I am enjoying viewing your pieces. Susan Sorrell just viisted my guild which is in Spartanburg near her home in Greenville and she was so inspiring. I was personally inspired to work more on my thread painted piece.

- Thanks for your comments re Hide & Seek. Not sure the zapped areas would stand up to too much touchy feely! The chiffon flaked off in places a bit as I stitched & beaded.

Hi! Today is Saturday the 21st of March, and the first Saturday I've had off work in ages! After doing income tax for all 4 of us, I worked on designing my latest quilt. There are 7 computer designed blocks in it. I took a picture of cutlery hanging on the wall, photoshopped it, and then used Kaleidescope Kreator software to make various pinwheels! I added some other blocks to even it out, and strip-pieced the rest of the top. Need to add borders - maybe tonight? - and then will post a picture of the quilt top!
