Hi. I am primarily an artist in hand made felt, but I have used free weaving, knitting, and embroidery in my pieces also. I have never done any art journaling but I hope that this group will be an inspiration! Malie

Moving to Jersey City!

That's the view from my new digs. It's all very strange and exciting and I'm hoping it will explain why I haven't been around, as much, lately. I'm still packing and sorting and throwing...sigh...it's really crazy, as I'm sure anyone knows who has ever moved across country. I have a… Continue

I'm Back!

It's SOOoooo good to be back on line...at last!!!! I have a new laptop, so I can finally come in and browse around and I can't tell you how frustrating it has been that my computer has been down since October, but I'm sure lots of you have been there.

I've never had a laptop before and this one won't run some of my old imaging programs, so even though I can add pictures, I have no way to edit or resize them, so they will be huge until I can get used to this thing.

Anyway, here's a pic of a sam… Continue

I'm growing these in an urn in front of my building. I know, it's not fiber art, but I'm so excited to be able to take pictures again, that I had to share!

Spring Journal Spread

I found some little, blank books at our local teacher's store. They were 6" x 6", 16 pages and just 85 cents each. Bound with two staples in the middle, they were not fancy, but perfect for sharing art journaling with newbies. I gave a class at my church on simple bookbinding,… Continue

I am still unearthing items previously created from my live-festival days!

I have many sets of cello-bagged primitive Hang Tags for gift wrapping, scrapbooking, card making, embellishing...

cinnamon scented and tea stained :)

Love the needle felting Bettina. Your photos are good. Aren't digital cameras just wonderful. Aren't we lucky to be able to "play" with our fabrics!! Keep up the good work.

What lovely work you have here. I do particularly love the painting, 'Obsession'. And I have to agree with the others - a lovely restful page.

And a big welcome to the Art Dolls Group

Hi Bettina - Your page is such a joy!! I adore all of your pce.s andt he photos of them - Oh! And you know that wonderful photo of your urn of gorgeous flowers? WOW!! How lovely they are!! I have a tiny garden which I have been UNable to work on this year bc. of all these crazy repairs to the outside of the house that are going on allllllll summer!! NOT being able to garden is making me...craaaaaaaazy!! I'm so delighted that you like my silly, wee masks so much!! And, I REALLY like your idea of making pins from them!! I have tried a pendant, but whilst I was wearing it and poking about one of those grocery store freezer things, the door suddenly shut with the pendant still inside the freezer!! I felt such an old fool trying to get the darn door open - you know how those groc. store freezer doors WILL stick! - what with being... "hung by the neck" and all that! Still, it did provide several nearby teenagers with something to laugh hysterically about and, who knows? The whole silly incident may yet appear on...er...YouTube!! Eeek! Cheers! Charlotte
