Heather, your background adds just the right colour to make it stand out. You make me feel guilty as I have been very lax about uploading photos lately. But I am lucky that I have actually been working on things as it has been just a little franti...

I would love to make faces with you. Ha! I have a selection of different types of face molds to give different effects. I wanted to purchase some of these embellishments but could not find them so I thought why not make my own. This piece looks mu...

Heather I absolutely love this piece! I'm not sure about the name (LOL) but everything else about it is striking! Beautiful colour and texture and the face is wonderful. We'll have to get together and make faces some time. Linda

Doesn't it feel great when you finish a project? I think that it looks great. I love beading. How large is this, Heather? If you want to make a journal cover out of this (and no I don't think it would be too heavy) you may have to mount it on some...

Hi Donna. I've never seen SILK scrim but it sounds wonderful - and expensive. Cheesecloth is often refered to as scrim but I have heard that gauze bandaging is more like British scrim. A more evenly woven and looser material. It seems from what I ...

I love Fast-2-Fuse. It is a very strong stabilizer like timtex but with fusible on both sides. Depending on what you are using this for, and the fabric you are using, this can be a plus or minus.

Discussion of any and all techniques for adding color and texture to any and all base materials.

I find inspiration everywhere. I was recently in Florida and became fascinated by the patterns in the sand left when the tides were going out, clumps of seaweed and spindrift. I have found my digital camera and invaluable resource to help me remem...

Yes Diane said it was snowing again - she was staying indoors. Her floss look ok. i was going to also have a go yesterday BUT -
My son rang at 9.25 am to say my Grandaughter Isabelle Jasmine had arrived - at 808 Darwin time (They are 30 min behind us). So that kinda threw the day into a flux!
I haven,t got photos yet though my daughter has via her mobile (& forwarded to me!)
My day was spent organising flowers, and making the label for the quilt I have made for baby! Cutting out a baby sling and bragging to those I could.
I was going to say you have plenty of time to finish the Guild project but the meeting is ? third Mon? of month oh I see its the 27th. - 3 weeks you can do it I am sure.
Still damp here. More rain over night. Our block is very wet still no hope of mowing the grass! Good luck with your project. Look forward to seeing what you come up with

Heather you make me very envious of your get together.I Wish I could have been there too.I did have a Google map tour around that part of Toronto though!
As for therain - well we have had HUGE rain last week and more flash flooding inthe Sunshine coasta little south of us. One place, Kin Kin had 5 --6 foot wall off water go through their pub and make ahuge mess of the town. II think we have all had enough of the wet and would like it alittle dryer. At least Brisbane has resevoirs that are 50% full compared to 18% approx 3 years ago and are having water restrictions eased

Heather It is about - no is 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 . I have thought about mounting it on a pre stretched artist canvas. A deep one. But as you suggest would have to cover that - may be the starburst spray that I coloured the parchement behind it with. Not sure i have the need to cover a journal or folder with it.
