Hi Jacquie,
Thank you! The fan is made from silk paper - I dyed the fibres and made the paper. It was then heavily machine stitched and beaded.

hi Jacquie,

thanks for your comment on my vessels. I left a note under the photos about the construction - it's 2 layers of fabric, both backed with Vilene.

Hi Bina, I also an fuzzy, but I have to say I do not remember those names. Your name does sound familiar though and unfortunately, I cannot place your face. That's what comes with being 47! Anyway, it would be great to share stories, art, etc. Maybe something will ring a bell eventually!

Your name sounds so familiar to me, it was 10 years ago so I am a bit fuzzy. Then I was known as "Davina Holmes". (Went through a lot of changes and spiritual transformations since then. I am still occasionally in touch with Yvie Raij, if you remember her and spoke with Burt Stabler once, dont know if you remember those folks!

Hi Jacquie,
Thanks for the comment and the friend invitation! I admire your work as well--I love the way you combine so many different techniques, and I can relate to your enthusiasm for learning all you can. I look forward to future communication!
Thanks again, Bonnie

Wonderful website Jacquie. I was wondering if you look familiar to me. I lived in Chicago for about 5 years and am also an alumni of SAIC. I was in the fiber arts department when Ingrid Bachman was there, but mostly at that time in sculpture and ceramics. That was 1997.
Nice to meet you and thanks for your comment!

Hi
Many thanks for your comments - much appreciated.
I have looked at your website - some of the photos are so very similar to ones I've taken in one of my local forest areas and yet so far apart. 'Small world isn't it?'
There are so many like minded artists on this group - I love it.
Cheers
