Absolutely exquisite--do you use silk dye or silk paint? Lovely.
This looks as if it is a piece done in pastels! I have a felting attachment with my Bernina but haven't tried it as yet! This is so inspiring. Just beautiful.
This inspires me to study your book anew and try pieces using silk caps (again, I was reluctant to order these!) My fears keep me from growing, I am afraid.

Susan Sorrells, A Wonderful Artisan and Speaker
Susan visited our Spartanburg, SC quilt guild last night and shared her work with us as well as her journey to fiber arts. She is not only an extremely talented artist but an engaging, down-to-earth, approachable person. And we found out we took undergrad art courses together at Winthrop College in the 80's. Not only did I enjoy her presentation, but she has re-energized me and I'm determined not to let work, children, or life in general keep me from creating art! I hope to post new works soon.… Continue

- Thank you so much for your kind comments. I feel inadequate compared to all of you who are truly doing mixed media arts. I am just beginning to branch that way from traditional quilting. I hope to add some more artistic endeavors to my photos one of these days--after my little surgical procedure Friday and Christmas are behind me.
