This is an Early Missoni 1920's Jazz Age Suit from a Tate Gallery Exhibition in Brittain they showed the Actual fabric suit! I don't know who it was made for or whether it wa just made for fun!

I love Sonia Delaunay's design and work! And I simply adore Missoni, its knitwear and print are so bright and vibrant!
I understand what you mean when you say that you would draw all the time if you could! The hand painted silk designs are elegant and beautiful, I have never tried silk painting, I am sure it is a very rewarding technique.

I think i know how to do it- I don't know what happenenned to the last lot I put up here but therse include A Sonia Delaunay Knitted swimsuit circa 1928 from an Art Daco Exhibit from TATE Britain I think plus an Early suit made and designed by one of my favourites Missoni (also Exhibited there too).....Not that i have anything to wear by the family just the odd scarf.... The others are hand painted silk designs by me from last summer time. Nature is always my eternal inspiration and if I gad time i would never stop drawing.....

I am a Textile Designer who loves playing with fabric and paints! I make to order and for Galleries.
I sometimes screenprint textiles and paper. I love designing One-Off Scarves, Wedding shoes and Stoles for Bridesmaid or Guests; Also Home Interiors and Fashion items: A Handbag, an Evening frock or camisole. I also love Knitting and teach Beginners as well as Children's Holiday Painting textiles Workshops. I trained as a Montessori Teacher but now my daughters are nearly grown-up I enjoy helping the grandchildren with their letters and early readers! I have taught knitting and weaving workshops in Schools.
