- I'm an artist and fiber artist working in a wide variety of mediums and styles. I do fantasy, horror, comic book, cartoon, illustration, Celtic, tribal, tattoo flash, portraits, landscapes, and custom designing. I paint in acrylics, oils, watercolors and mixed media, work with colored pencils, pen and ink, and sculpt in clay, stone, wood and plastic clays. I spin and process sheep fleece from raw on both wheel and spindles, dye, felt wet and dry, knit--in lace, fair isle, and multiple techniques, crochet, freeform crochet, original doll and toy making, quilting, sewing and designing patterns from scratch, beading, leather work, basketry, some weaving, and my current obsession is rug hooking.

I am from NJ originally. :)
But, my sister in law's Maiden name is also Davis and she IS from Florence - Laura Davis. Her father owns the Florence Flea Market, and I know her mother is very active in the quilting guild...I can't think of Mr. and Mrs. Davis' first names though!

Kath Danswan said… - Hi Vicky, Funny isn't it. My bowls sell better in the US and I am leading some workshops in them in April in several venues in LA and San Diego. My husband and I love visiting America and try to find a different area to go to each time we come. We have timeshare which means we can usually find somewhere to stay and have visited Virginia, Boston, New York, Orlando 6 times. This will be our first trip to LA. I have just found a lady who breeds Cotswold sheep, a rare breed , that has beautiful Fleece. I can get some from her and send you a sample if you would like to try it.

- Although I haven't got pictures of it on my web site my biggest commission in felt was to copy a piece of Embroidery by William Morris for the Headquaters of William Morris Society in London.Is 6'by 2'when finished and took a lot of working. I use mainly merino fleece, curly wensleydale and any other I can get hold of.

- Hi Vickey, I too am a felter as well as an embroidererd textile artist. I was attracted to your green man as one of the projects I set at the summer school I teach at is to mold a felt face and decorate it and last year my students did the green man.
