- My art changes from season to season. During cold months I work in fibers, dying, quilting and embroidering. When the weather starts to warm up, I drift into assemblage, collage, sculpture and painting. I have tried almost every type of medium and like to combine them in unusual ways. I love layers, so just to use one type of medium would not be satisfying enough for me!!

Jill Denton said… - Hi Wendy, thanks for the comment about my scarf. My daughter says it looks like tadpoles! Actually it was just another experiment - I was writing a book on Felt Scarves, and had to come up with 25 different projects. This scarf just came about by experimenting a bit with nuno felt and chunky knitting yarn - trying to do something quick and easy. Well, in the end, easy yes, but not so quick! My friend bought it off me and it looks great on!

Virginia Spiegel, founder and manager of this charity requested that all submissions be 8" x 10" and ready for framing. This charity auction is now open for preview and will begin May 5th - the 7th if you are interested in purchasing it or as many as 383 others to choose from!

- Hi Wendy. Whereabouts in Iowa are you? I moved here from Texas in September and still don't have all the towns down yet. I haven't taken a lot of photos but I suppose I should start that. I do have one of a bracelet (cuff) that I completed a couple of weeks ago. Just got a new sewing machine today and I am trying to learn new features. Too many projects-not enough time :(.
