Hi this is beautiful. I'm obsessed with foliage, wild flowers and hedgerows and so this is right up my street. So lovely to see something so unusual too.

- Orlando... but I just moved from Seattle after 17 years! Big culture shock but my husband was transferred.
- About Me:
- I am a textile, felting, paper, acrylic, book artist. I was born on the same day as Matisse. I am sure this is why I have to be surrounded by draping fabrics and intense colors.
I could blither on for a long time about me... but who reads this anyway? I must get into my studio this morning so I will take a break.

- Hi Cami, Like you, I think we've crossed paths somewhere but I can't put my finger on where! I do know Susan Pins, she is a member of our Fiber Floozie group that meets at Sewing Studio on the first Saturday of the month. Have you joined us for a meeting? If not, you should. The web site is beautiful and inspires me to want to do a site. Susan's art dolls and her women of '08 piece were done in our Floozie group.

I would like to try this with my friends.
In Iceland the summer is short. We have daylight now 24 hours. I love that so much. We have had unusually good weather, Sunshine all june and the now in july.
I live in a place called Selfoss in south Iceland. It's about 45 min. driving from Reykjavik the capital of Iceland.

Linda Wright said… - Thanks. I have sometimes dyed my own roving, but really dont have the space to do that. I buy roving from www.outback fibers.com for the pictures. The owner Jill, has a sampler that has a little of each color available. I also pick up roving in my travels. I like your style.

- Holy Moly--I love your cool botanicals--they are perfect for crewel, or floss embroidery--wink, wink. Thanks for kind words re: my character--I do go on stitchin up the place!
