Life does have a way of getting away from me. I can't believe that it has been so long since I wrote anything here. I have been crazy busy teaching (brick and morter as well as on-line) and writing a book on embellishments. I have lots of other cool stuff happening...I will be back soon to give you all the scoop.
Happy stitching.

I have just finished a 2 day workshop with Jan Beaney and Jean Littlejohn. What a fabulous experience that was. They are great teachers, very encouraging, thoughtful, irreverant and fun. The scope of their work is incredible. They are so inspiring. Put them on your "must do a workshop with" list. You won't be disappointed. Of course, I now have to purchase an embelisher/felting machine. They are doing such wonderful things with these machines. I am traveling at the moment--currently in Canada, g… Continue

Just the facts...

I am totally new to this type of forum so hopefully I won't do anything stupid. I am a fiber artist living in the grand state of Colorado. I live at 7,200 feet elevation so I am pretty high in the foothills. I love this state! I grew up in Virgina, just outside of Washington DC. It was a great place when I was growing up but I am glad I don't live there anymore. I have 1 husband (engineer) 3 boys 2 still at home (I homeschool) and one that can't quite giveup his room yet. I have one FABULOUS

Hi Liz, How are you doing? I guess I haven't seen you since Jan and Jean. I finally bought an embellisher in May this year and I've been taking an embellishing class with Dale Rolerson of the Thread Studio. I highly recommend the online classes.Have you been embellishing? and what are the two goddesses up to lately? Donna

No - Auntie is 89 and very proper. She would not know what to do with an "artsy" bag ! The Dresden's take months to complete !! I have one that is traveling with IQA - but DH wants to keep that one - so I will set out on a new one for her birthday in August-- all vintage fabrics - I love working with those !

I just noticed that everything is Eastern time on this ! Jeez - a studio overhaul - you have NO idea how good that sounds to me! I have been very negligent in my quilting lately - it's all felted & quilted ... along with some knitting too(felted of course!) DH wants me to make a Dresden Plate for Auntie though - so I might have to change directions for awhile ! Your starlit phase was grand - Bonnie does such a good job of making us feel good !
