Judith, when sewing thick fabrics, I find that the top layer ends up longer than what is underneath. I tried reducing the pressure but it does still happen although a bit less. Have you had this happen??

After a lifetime with a marvellous Singer, I decided I needed a new sewing machine and the Bernina was recommended by the Embroiderers Guild. I'm so happy with it!

Me and sewing have gone hand-in-hand since childhood. I am passionate about art, enjoy mixing fabric and paper and always looking for 'new' things to try. I also paint in a mixed media style. I cannot go a whole day without doing some form of artwork.

I know, I know ..

I need another blog thing like a third eye - hah - but we all do it don't we LOL. Forgive me if I didn't answer properly to the first invitations but I didn't quite understand what I had to do. I'm listening to James Blunt - lovely! I'm in the middle of loads of things, painting for an exhibition in November, making arty crafty pieces for a pre-Christmas fayre, and trying to keep up with blogs, yahoo groups etc. mixed in with the hum-drum everyday chores. I like you work and hearted one of your shops. I do fiber art too and mine is not selling right now either. I am not dropping out though, I am going to hang on till the economy changes. I have signed up for some local shows which I had stopped doing because they are so much work but face to face does sell better than on-line for me. Keep hanging in there.
