Hey Juanita, I think I forgot to respond to this one. The answer is yes and if you're interested, you need to contact someone at the Textile Museum and express interest (ask for whoever is in charge of the SBA). The person I contacted is no longer there, so don't have a name for you. Anyway, she asked me to email her and submit some photos (can't remember if I sent a CV or not). I guess they need to run it by some people (either the Chair or the board??), and if they accept you, you're in. By in, I mean that they'll send you out a packet late June/early July and you need to respond back fairly quickly with your interest. They give out the empty SB's to the 1st 150 people. Once you're in, you stay on the list for future years. I also volunteer at the auction. I like to be part of the action and meet some of my bidders and the evenual purchaser. The comments alone are quite fabulous! BTW, you have a good eye. Susan Strachan Johnson's work is always fabulous. The bidding is fast & furious at the auction, especially on some of the favourites. At the end, there are always some that do not sell, or sell for the minimum bid (and some are a bargain). Anything left at the end is either given back to the artist or is purchased by board members (at least that is the impression I got). If you're interested in participating, you should probably contact them fairly soon. I believe I did it a year in advance, but not sure if it was really required.

We've had a few changes so that's okay--looking forward to what you come up with for the CTA ring!

One more question. Did you buy any of the pieces? If so, which one(s)? - Anne Marie

Hi again - I'm so happy to hear that you liked my Shadow Box and that you're a fan. I was absolutely amazed by how fast the piece sold for the maximum bid. I just love donating for a good cause. Have you ever submitted a piece? - Anne Marie

Hi Juanita,

Love your blog! I'll be visiting it from time to time. One of these days, I'll actually remember to take some time to set one up myself. Sigh! So many tasks....so little time..... Anne Marie

Hi Juanita,
Your quilt work looks fabulous! I see you're also a knitter. I've been primarily a beader for twenty years, but a year ago I started knitting and I can't put my needles down. Anyhow, it's nice to see you here. Welcome!
