Fabulous felting!

Remember some time ago I said I had been invited to have a creative play date with local felter Joni Phippin? Hey Caroline--thanks for the hello. Your work is amazing--I feel like such a slacker trying to learn ning and get things up--but I'll get it! I'm also at freedomofstitch.blogspot.com which is where my students/clients go for updates & inspiration--I'll get my Ning on soon too!! And--how COOL that you're in Scotland! My family (Cowen) I think used to tend Dumbarton castle about a million years ago and came to America on a land grant from a baron I think, but I still got my red hair and transparent skin as a badge! I feel like we're family-- And I've dreamt of visiting since I learned of my history in the 1980's---someday. For now, we have art-a-plenty! Your little stitchies are adorable, and something I've been meaning to try, maybe in a flower? I'll get busy...

Hi Caroline
Welcome to the group. There are many many very talented fibre and everything else artists here and all very keen to share their ideas and techniques as I see that you do on your blog.
Close up photograpy - depends on your lens and how close it will let you focus but the other important thing is light, speed and trypod if you don't have a very very steady hand. It depends on what you want the photos for - they look fine for your blog.
Good luck with the exhibition.
Cheers
Shirley
