Beautiful here in Aus at the moment. Lots of wattle in flower, gourguos sunny days just perfect for walking in the bush. The drought has been pretty severe though, we have not had a decent rainfall for the past four or five years. This is a bit sad as there are not many wildflowers to inspire my work. I remember when there were blue pin cushions and chocolate lillies as far as I could see through the bush, and just relishing in the wonder of the colour. Searching for native orchids, finding new plants that I had not seen before and identifying them and photogrphing them. I am waiting for the flowers to return, and the colours to imerge, waiting for the rains.
The rain will arrive in time and the wild flowers will return. We will once again walk in the bush in amazement excited about every new find, and getting that perfect photograph. Meantime its time to light the fires, bring the four new chicks and their mum in for the night, warm the house keep the frost at bay tonight, and take a walk in wonder at the morning crispness.

Last week you sent an email about the flow of creative juices and you certainly timed that well. I spent last week on vacation and for this wonderful vacation I participated in a week-long complex cloth workshop taught by Jane Dunnewald. It was fabulous! The workshop was held in a visual arts studio at the University of Western Ontario. I can't think of a better way to spend a vacation without leaving town: dying, stamping, stenciling, discharging, serigraphy and just wonderfully creative play. I recommend it highly.
Cheers
Meg
I thank you for your comments and my inspirations come from every where. My faith, community, other artists, music, food, just life in general. My pictures are art quilts that I've fused, sewn, painted, beaded, and used my computer and added photo transfers. Busy I am and thats what keeps me.
best, Annie
Grass seeds and bark sound great - you are a girl after my own heart! I quite like not knowing how things will turn out until the end - it lets you out of doing too much planning... making it up as I go along is more my thing! Definitely felt is next on my list - I am making minimalist mobiles at the moment for an exhibition in the autumn. Really hard to photograph but I'll try and get a pic on (if they'll keep still long enough!)

The green bag was made of organza which I punched with a needle for needlefelting, and then embellished with some woolfibers and beads. And I can't say that your colors are boring; I love your felt art!

So sorry!

Thank you for the 'friend request'! Your felt is so beautiful, especially the landscapes. I was at a felt making workshop on Saturday learning how to mix colours by building up thin layers of felt - it has really rekindled my enthusiasm for felt!
