Your art is so beautiful. I like to look at one piece and stop at different sections to look closer. So detailed and dimensional...simply lovely. Thanks for being my friend. I will go back now to resume looking at your art. Thanks, Diana

Thanks Pat for the comment you left about my valentine! I was looking at your web site with all of the beautiful photos of both your home and garden, and the fantastic things you have made. I also have many, many books on crazy quilting. I collect vinatage textiles and vintage buttons. One of the things I plan to make soon is a button quilt. I thought it would be a nice way to display my button collection. My only concern is that since I am not planning to stop buying more buttons :o) I need to make the quilt expandable. I was thinking maybe make little 8x8 quilts and then just attach them together with an overcast stich with floss, or maybe putting small grommets in each corner and attaching them that way? I don't know, I'll have to make up some practice blocks and try different ways of attaching them together. Well see.

Hi Pat

I agree with the others: your CQ is lovely. I do some of it too, but tend to do monochromatic work. Sometimes it's a challenge to stay within one colour. I do lots of other things too, including making comfort dolls, lol.

Hi Pat.

I like the Colorhue instant-set silk dyes for dyeing silk. I have used Colorhue dyes on silk cocoons, hankies, carrier rods, silk scarves and silk ribbon. I also use it for silkscreening. It is fabulous because you don't have to heat set it or wait for it to dry before laying down another color.

Hi Pat, Yes it is a beautiful picture and looking at your web site i would imagine the bag would have been absolutely gorgeous. I loved your work what lovely visions and inspiring too. I was given a bag a very big bag full of silk ribbons and old laces which is around 80/100 years old. Ive been doing so much with paper lately i sort of could not get my head around this fabric stuff...lol Your work has shown me the way lol and Im going to pull out my machine and have agoa at a few fabric type collages. I love dragonflies and I have some tutorials somewhere on doing those too...best I have at the moment otherwise is a dragonfly stamp lol. Again stunning refreshing and so girly pretty items. I liked that it was so uplifting I see so much Dark Art around, your website so much better for the spirit. Thankyou for a beautiful start to my morning. smiles Michelle
