Today DB posted the Comfort Dolls to New Zealand for distribution. I hope the recipients like them and derive some comfort from them.

I am still in the (very slow) process of tidying my studio. Deciding what I should keep and what I should throw out is difficult, and sometimes takes time.

Next week I hope to get back to my C&G studies, and also do some work on other things that I have either started or just dreamed about starting.

New Book

Coincidentally, yesterday I was talking about making a book, based on architectural elements, since that is my training and my other great love. Today in the mail came a package from Quilting Arts, including 'In This House'. This is a collaboration by 12 artists from all over the place, who all made books based on the same template and size containing the same number of pages. Ning Virgin

Am I really allowed to use that word without the 'bad word' police coming after me? Can you tell I live in over-regulated, over-security-conscious Australia? Enough already ....

Today, I have decided to make a book. Tired of reading about all these creative people who make 'books' - how do they do it? - where is the starting point? - what materials and media do they use? It is so nice that everyone here is friendly, and excited about their and others' work. I love looking, and learning from other people how to do things differently, maybe better, maybe not, but it's fun to see how much we are not all the same.

This kind of communication is totally new to me, and I feel quite overwhelmed and lost. So please have sympathy for my plight and forgive my lapses.

I am currently trying to clear out my studio so I can really get back to some serious work.

Hi, Chris,
Lovely to hear from you again. Thanks for taking time out to comment. You never know who you might meet and where in cyberspace.
Hope you are being as creative as ever.
